... Rozvědka očekávala rozsáhlé škody, které záhy skutečně nastaly. V Rakousku byli do několika měsíců pozatýkáni tajní českoslovenští agenti.

John Stonehouse

John Thomson Stonehouse (28 July 1925 – 14 April 1988) was a British Labour and Co-operative Party politician and junior minister under Harold Wilson. Stonehouse is perhaps best remembered for his unsuccessful attempt at faking his own death in 1974 ...

Former Labour minister who faked his own death was Communist spy

The former Labour minister who faked his own death was a Communist spy, it was revealed yesterday.

MI5 held extensive files on John Stonehouse amid fears he was passing secret information to the Soviet Union.

The first official history of the Security Service, published yesterday, revealed that he was an agent for the Czech StB intelligence agency during the 1960s ...

Hitler 'brolly' jibe to mock Chamberlain
Adolf Hitler loved to mock Neville Chamberlain's umbrella by claiming it was a symbol of his feebleness.
The Nazi leader used the British premier's favourite accessory as a means of poking fun at the 'umbrella-pacifism' of the once imposing British Empire...

...
Wilson in £14m IRA offer to Gaddafi
Britain made a secret offer to pay Libya £14million if it stopped supplying arms to the IRA, official files have revealed.
The deal put forward by Harold Wilson's Labour government in the 1970s was also aimed at helping trade with the oil-rich state.
Wilson even sent a personal message to Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi suggesting Britain would make the payment - worth £500million in today's money...

Will Owen

William James Owen (18 February 1901 – 3 April 1981) was a British miner and politician, whose career as a Member of Parliament was ended by his trial under the Official Secrets Act 1911 for giving secrets to Czechoslovak intelligence. Although found not guilty, it was claimed by intelligence historian Christopher Andrew in The Defence of the Realm that "he was almost certainly guilty as charged".[1]

2.3 William Owen
In January 1970 William Owen, the then Member for Morpeth, was arrested and charged with communicating evidence useful to the enemy, under section 1 of the Official Secrets Act 1989.
On 6 May he was found not guilty of all eight charges. The charges were reported in The Times as:
...communicating information calculated to be, or which might be, or was intended to
be, useful to an enemy between August 1961, and June, 1962; a similar offence
between January and December 1963, and on three charges of doing an act
preparatory to communicating information by receiving money from a member of the
Czechoslovakian Embassy for periods between January and December, 1967,
January and December 1968, and January and December 1969.
31
The Times further reported that:

Throughout the trial Mr Owen insisted that he never passed classified information to
two Czechoslovak intelligence officers working in London. He admitted that during a
period of nine years he received from them about £2,300 but claimed that often he
would invent information to pass on to them when the “pumped” him during lunchtime
appointments.
