What Happens in Your Body When You Eat Too Much Sugar

The original Coke graphic, created by former UK pharmacist Niraj Naik and run by The Renegade Pharmacist, claims that within the first ten minutes after finishing a can, the 10 teaspoons of sugar in the drink 'hit your system' - but phosphoric acid cuts the sweetness.
After 20 minutes, blood sugar spikes, and caffeine absorption causes pupils to dilate and blood pressure to rise after 40 minutes.
Once three quarters of an hour have passed: 'Your body ups your dopamine production, stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain.'
All of the graphic's points are meant to explain, scientifically, the way that bodies react to the chemicals and ingredients in a can of Coke.

Did you know that the Big Mac bun has high levels of high fructose corn syrup and sodium?
Both ingredients are addictive and make your body crave for more. These are also harmful...

The Western Diet consists mostly of salty processed foods and unhealthy sugars. A Prudent Diet or healthy diet is made up of better options such as fish, vegetables, and fruits.
The hippocampus is a vital brain part responsible for mental health, learning and memory. The brain has two hippocampi - left and right. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used to measure...
