When the sun set on August 20th 1968 and dawned the next day, the Warsaw Pact troops occupied all of Czechoslovakia with the exception of its capital, Prague. Their main goal was to crush a brief period of liberation in the communist country.
On the 16th of January at 2:30 in the afternoon, five months after the invasion of Czechoslovakia by Warsaw Pact troops, Jan Palach set himself on fire in the middle of Prague at Wenceslas Square and passed away in the hospital three days later.
This documentary is story of people who witnessed that period of history in Prague.
